Situation

USIS, a leader in background screening and related data services, was in need of a new brand and brand architecture as it looked to address three key business challenges:

  • Their current name presented limitations for expansion, both geographically and in service offerings
  • The company’s 3 operating businesses had failed to take advantage of synergies and cross-selling opportunities
  • The lack of a cohesive vision failed to energize investors and workforce

A new brand offered the opportunity to link the operating companies under a common banner and serve as a beacon for growth.
